Hi! My name is Logan Carstensen, and I am so excited for this new journey at Hayden Peak Elementary! I previously taught 4th grade at James Madison Elementary up in the Ogden School District for four years, and I am looking forward to my second year at Hayden Peak Elementary!
I grew up in Wooster, Ohio and I graduated from Weber State University in 2017. I love living in beaUTAHful Utah, but my loyalty in sports is with my Cleveland sports teams and THE Ohio State Buckeyes. Other than being a sports fanatic, I love to workout, hike/explore, cook yummy food, draw, and hang out with my family and friends. I believe that all students have the opportunity to achieve greatness, and I will make absolutely certain that all of my students will be prepared for their bright futures. My favorite quote is “Our greatest opportunities are often disguised as what seem like impossible situations”. I look forward to meeting my new fourth graders, and I am so excited to be a part of their journey to a successful education

My name is Jenn Crawford and I love being a teacher at Hayden Peak! I have been working in and around education since 2005. I have been an employee of Jordan School District since 2013. I spent five years working with an amazing special education team at Blackridge Elementary as a para-educator. This inspired me to finish my degree in elementary education and I started my career as a teacher in 2020 at Hayden Peak.

When I am not teaching I love to be outside! I like boating, skiing, and exploring beautiful places with my family. I love the turquoise water of Bear Lake and the red rock of St. George. Digging in the dirt and taking care of plants is my idea of a Saturday well spent. Reading books, learning new things, and being inquisitive about the world around us is something that helps me continue to learn and become a better person. I believe that the two most important qualities a student can have in order to succeed is to work hard and choose a good attitude. Those two qualities will help any child become a successful student and person. I am grateful for the opportunity I have as an educator to learn and grow from being together in the classroom. Hayden Peak is a wonderful place to be.

4th Grade Teacher
Hello! My name is Michelle Lundgren. I have been teaching fourth grade at Hayden Peak since 2015. I earned my BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Utah (GO UTES!). I have also completed my elementary mathematics endorsement to better help students understand the “why” behind mathematical processes.  I love to challenge my students, to show them that they CAN do it. I especially love to help students who struggle have “lightbulb moments”. Nothing makes teaching more rewarding than watching a student finally overcome the obstacles to their learning.
I have two grown children who are off making their own marks in the world. My husband and I enjoy going on road trips to experience unique places in our great country. I like trying new foods and cooking new recipes. I also enjoy celebrating obscure holidays (Pi day is my FAVORITE!).
Here’s to another adventurous year in fourth grade!!
