I grew up in beautiful Montana, and it will always have my heart. I graduated from BYU-Idaho with a BS in Elementary Education, and I’ve been at Hayden Peak for three years. My students are the reason I love to be at school each day. They always keep my on my toes! I enjoy teaching all subjects, but I especially enjoy Language Arts. I go home to Montana to spend time with family and friends any chance I get. I really love summer and all of the activities that come with it, but Christmas is my favorite time of year. Christmas music is on all year-round for me!
Hello! My name is Michelle Lundgren. I am currently teaching my fourth year of fourth grade at Hayden Peak. I have a BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Utah (GO UTES!). I am half of the duo that runs the after school Math Club, in preparation for our competition in the spring. I have two children, who are both away at college. My husband and I enjoy going on road trips to see unique places in our great country. I like trying new foods and cooking new recipes. I also enjoy celebrating obscure holidays (Pi day is my FAVORITE!). I love to challenge my students, to show them that they CAN do it. I especially love to help students who struggle have “lightbulb moments”. Nothing makes teaching more rewarding than watching a student finally overcome the obstacles to their learning.
I graduated from Elementary Education from Brigham Young University in April 2008 and began teaching 6th grade at Welby Elementary in Jordan School District. After teaching one year at Welby I transferred over to Hayden Peak Elementary and continued teaching 6th grade for two more years. I then taught one year in 5th grade and 4th grade since 2012. I earned my English as a Second Language Degree from Southern Utah University in May 2013. I also graduated with my Masters Degree in Education with a Supervisory/Administration License from SUU in May 2015. In my free time I love spending time with my husband and two sons. We love to go on vacations/camping, drives in the mountains, watching movies, having campfires, and going out to eat.
