Hayden Peak has been my “home” for 19 years and I still love working and serving here! Before coming to Hayden Peak, I taught first grade for ten years at Oquirrh Elementary and Monte Vista Elementary. While here at Hayden Peak, I taught second grade for another twelve years, back to first grade for a couple of years and now I am teaching third grade! If you add it all up, it comes to 29 years in education!

I love to read, and spend time with my family! We like to take road trips to see different places. We enjoy making treats and settling down in the family room to watch one of our many favorite moviesI have a lot of fun decorating my house for every holiday with items I have sewn, painted, or simply couldn’t resist from the store! I have two playful dogs that I spoil and adore!

I love teaching at Hayden Peak. (I have taught my whole career of 12 years at Hayden Peak minus one year). I believe all students need to feel like they belong and that they are important. I have a Master’s Degree in Education, my Reading Endorsement, and my ESL Endorsement. When I am not teaching, I am enjoying my family. We have 4 children; 7 grandchildren and two sweet dogs. I love to travel, be in the mountains, ride my peloton, yoga and meditation. I look forward to a happy and successful school year!

I love teaching at Hayden Peak and getting to know the wonderful students and families who come here.  My heart is firmly planted in 3rd grade.  I’ve taught this grade for more than 15 years, with a break in the middle to raise 3 sons.  In my spare time I love to travel, spend time with my extended family, play the piano, and organize anything.

I have been teaching at Hayden Peak since 2006. First, teaching PE, then second grade, and now third, with a few years off in between. When I’m not teaching I’m working on house projects or you can find me in the mountains with my dog Bear. We like to trail run, go hiking, and occasionally take a road trip to the beach. But the real adventure is teaching. The good times, bad times and especially the fun times! I love what I do and love spending time with such amazing, smart kids!

I am so excited to be teaching third grade for the first time! I love learning and sharing my enthusiasm for it with my students is the best part of teaching. I taught first grade in Jordan District for 5 years and Meet the Masters at Hayden Peak for 3 years. When school is out you’ll find me in the sunshine playing games, reading, exploring with my boys or working with my husband on his food trucks.
