Speech & Language Pathologist

I am the Speech / Language Pathologist at Hayden Peak Elem. I have been here since the second year the school opened, as well as worked in various other schools throughout Jordan School District. This is my 34th year of working full time as an SLP. The majority of settings have been in the public schools in Utah as well as Oregon. I have also worked with adults in rehab settings (PRN) as well as one year full time with adults for the State of Utah. My husband and I have two married children and six grandchildren, ranging in age from eleven to twenty. I enjoy walking, bike riding and swimming as well as traveling. Art museums are a favorite. We also enjoy watching our daughter run world marathons and seeing the grandkids in their various sports and school activities. Hayden Peak has been my favorite work setting. The faculty and students are the best!

Resource Teacher K-4

I am the Resource teacher that works with students who are in Kindergarten through Fourth Grade. This is the fourth year that I have taught at Hayden Peak Elementary School and the 31st year that I have taught Special Education classes. What thrills me to no end is when I see my students who struggle with reading and/or math start to understand and make progress!

Resource Teacher 5-6

This is my 5th year of teaching at Hayden Peak. I have taught a total
of 24 years. I’ve loved all of my teaching positions but of course Hayden
Peak is my all-time favorite! Watching my students increase their academic
and personal confidence truly brings me joy.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy
camping, boating, motorcycle riding and visiting new places.

School Psychologist

This is my first year at Hayden Peak as the school psychology intern and it’s been an amazing experience so far! I moved here from the Pittsburgh area of Pennsylvania. I also lived in South Korea for a year and a half teaching English as a second language. Some of my hobbies include hiking, traveling, and drawing. One of my goals is to explore all the national parks in Utah!
