Families,

We are having the annual Halloween Parade and parents are invited to come and watch.  The parade will start at 9:00am.  Students should come to school wearing their costumes.  Parents will go to the gym for the parade.

Students should be prepared to remove their costumes as quickly and easily as possible so the bathrooms are not crowded with students trying to change.  Teachers will let their students know when it is time to change.

“Celebrate Life. Live Drug Free!”

Monday - "Drugs are scary, don't do them"  - Wear Halloween Costume

Tuesday - " Sock it to drugs!" - Wear your crazy socks!   

Wednesday - "Team up against drugs" - Wear your favorite sports team attire     

Thursday - "I mustache you not to do drugs!" - Wear a mustache

Red Ribbon Week Coloring Contest

  • Bring your colored paper back on Monday, October 31st and turn it at the office.
  • There will be 4 winners chosen from each grade level, Winners will receive a small prize.
  • Winning designs will be displayed in the school the remainder of the week.

Tonight is the annual PTA Skate Night at Classic Skate from 5:30 to 8:30pm.

Fall Family Fair is taking place from 4:00 - 7:00 at the Viridian at 8030 S.1825 W

Harmony Choir practices start tomorrow for grades 4th through 6th.  Practice starts at 7:30.  Students who eat breakfast at school will be dismissed in time to eat.  Safety Patrol will be dismissed in time to go do their assignments as well.

Hayden Peak Families,

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to school!  Here are just a few reminders for the first week of school!

Back to School Night – Wednesday, August 17th

Please join us for Back to School Night on Wednesday, August 17th from 5:30pm until 7:00pm.  Come meet your teachers and grab a slice of pizza!  You can zoom past the long lines by coming at 5:15 to a special Principal/PTA/Community Council meeting to learn about the happenings at Hayden Peak for the coming school year.

First Day of School – Thursday, August 18th

Grades 1 through 6 start school this Thursday!  The bell rings at 8:25

Kindergarten

Kindergarten testing will be taking place from August 17th through August 25th.  If you have not scheduled an appointment for your student, please do so as soon as possible.  If you would like help scheduling an appointment, please call the office and we will be glad to help you.

The first day of school for Kindergarten will be on August 26th.  This will be a parent & student day with Meet & Greet activities in the classroom.  Students need to come with their parents and will go home with them when their activities are done.  You will come at your assigned class times.    The Friday schedule for Kindergarten will be:

AM Kinder: 8:30-10:15

PM Kinder: 10:35-2:25

School Lunch

Just a reminder that school breakfast and lunches are NOT free this year.  You can deposit money into lunch accounts through Skyward or you can send check or cash in with your student to the office.
