Dear Hayden Peak Elementary School Families,

As your students may have told you, I will be retiring from Jordan School District at the end of this school year. It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to serve as the principal of Hayden Peak Elementary School. From the time I served here as an Assistant Principal from 2008-2010 and then as Principal from 2019-until now I have loved being here at Hayden Peak and have been so grateful for your acceptance and love.

As I step away from my role, I am filled with excitement for what lies ahead for Hayden Peak Elementary. I am thrilled to announce that Tina Susuico will be joining our community as your new principal. Tina comes to us from Mountain Shadows Elementary with a wealth of experience and a heart full of passion for education. I am confident that she will lead our school with the same dedication and love that you have come to expect.

To our incredible teachers and staff, thank you for your unwavering dedication and for the countless hours you devote to making our school a place where learning and love go hand in hand. To our devoted parents and guardians, PTA and School Community Council, your support and involvement have been invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for the trust you placed in me to help guide your children.

Most importantly, to our amazing students, thank you for inspiring me every single day with your curiosity, kindness, and enthusiasm. Watching you learn and grow has been one of the greatest joys of my career, and I am so proud of each and every one of you.

As I move on to this new chapter of my life, please know that Hayden Peak Elementary will forever hold a special place in my heart. I am grateful for the countless memories, the lifelong friendships, and the privilege of being part of such a wonderful community.

With all my love and appreciation,

Jennifer Fisher

Principal, Hayden Peak Elementary School

Dear Parents and Students,

It’s time for a new season of Harmony to begin!  The choir leaders are Megan Toronto and Julie Weir.  We are excited to make music with your children!  The spring program will be “Disney on Stage”. There will be speaking parts, solos, and singing groups. The words and music will be available for you to practice during the week through email when it is ready to go. We invite all 3rd-6th graders to participate.  Choir will rehearse in March on TUESDAYS before school at 7:30am.  In April we will add THURSDAYS at 7:30am.  We will be using the shirts from last year.  If you are new to Harmony and do not have one, we will order one for you.  There may be some extra practices on Monday/Wednesday mornings in April when we get closer to performance time for the solos, speakers, and dancers.  You will be notified of those dates in advance.

To help cover the costs of the choir, (t-shirts, music, field trip, party, etc.), we ask for a donation of  $5 per semester (Fall and Spring).  At the end of the year, your student will be able to keep their t-shirt if they would like.  If this is a hardship for anyone, please contact one of the Harmony leaders and we will be happy to work with you.

Important dates:

Tuesday, February 27, 7:30 am-First day of Harmony

Monday, May 6, 6:30 pm - Choir concert assembly and evening performance

We will convey important information through email, REMIND (text @493g34 to 81010 to join or go to https://www.remind.com/join/493g34), our private Facebook page (Hayden Peak Harmony), and our website (http://haydenpeak.jordandistrict.org/programs/harmonychoir/).  If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Julie Weir or Megan Toronto.

Harmony Choir is about to start for the 2018-2019 year! A note should have come home today with all of the information you will need. This year we will be doing Voicings for every student who wants to participate in choir. Students will be voiced in a group of up to 5 kids. I will check their range and different aspects of their voice. THIS IS NOT A TRYOUT! We need to have the information to make decisions about seating charts and also to group the kids into parts. Thanks for your support as we try some new things this year! If your student can’t make it to one of the available time slots, please let me know. Contact info is on the note that was sent home.
